2002 BMW 330Ci — “The Minion”

Bright yellow, loud, and built with one purpose in mind, the 2002 BMW 330Ci known as “The Minion” is anything but ordinary. The name comes naturally from its unmistakable yellow finish, but the personality of this E46 goes far beyond its color. Underneath the bodywork is a serious combination of V8 power, forced induction, and purpose-built drift hardware.
At the heart of The Minion is a 6.0-liter LS V8, force-fed by a Torque Storm supercharger and managed by a Holley Terminator engine management system. The combination gives the car the kind of immediate power delivery needed to keep the rear tires spinning and the chassis moving at serious angles.
Helping that V8 breathe is a set of stainless-steel headers feeding into a full stainless-steel exhaust system, running all the way to the rear of the car. The result is a powertrain that not only delivers the performance, but also announces its presence every time the throttle is opened.
The chassis is built around a set of Rev9 coilovers, paired with an SLR angle kit to give the E46 the steering angle required for serious drift duty. The setup rides on 18-inch NS Wheels, combining aggressive fitment with the functional demands of a dedicated drift car.
Inside, The Minion has been stripped down and transformed into a purpose-built cockpit. A custom roll cage adds chassis protection and reinforces the competition-inspired character, while a rear-seat delete removes unnecessary weight. Fixed racing seats keep the driver firmly planted behind the wheel, completing an interior designed around control rather than comfort.
When it comes time to initiate, the car features a suicide brake handbrake setup, giving the driver another tool for throwing the chassis sideways and keeping the rear tires lit. Combined with the LS power and SLR angle kit, it makes The Minion particularly well-equipped to turn horsepower into tire smoke.
And, naturally, the rear of the car is equipped with our in-house Tire Hydrant kit, adding another layer of functionality to an already purpose-built drift machine.
The Minion is a perfect example of what happens when an E46 platform is stripped down to its essentials and rebuilt around the art of drifting. With a supercharged 6.0-liter LS up front, serious steering angle underneath, a purpose-built cockpit, and enough hardware to keep the rear tires smoking, this yellow 330Ci isn’t just recognizable—it’s built to put on a show.
